Aggressive dogs can indeed be big trouble. If you are facing any dog problems then you have come to the right place.
These sessions for problem dogs are conducted at our office 19 Jeffery Street, Blackburn by training director Basil Theofanides – Nationally Accredited Trainer and Assessor. Basil’s expertise spans over 25 years as a professional dog trainer and is an expert in canine aggression. Basil can also travel to homes in Melbourne at an additional cost.
If your dog has been involved in court action regarding aggressive behaviour, Basil can provide a written testimony of your dog’s character. Basil’s Temperament Assessments have been used on numerous occasions in Courts of Law, which has in most cases, reprieved an otherwise condemned animal. Assessments usually consist of 1 – 1.5 hour duration excluding type-written documentation.
Assessments do not have to be as formal as stated above. You may only wish to have an expert opinion of a dog you are about to acquire, or have a dog assessed due to its unusual behaviour. This might include, tail chasing, aggression towards specific people, coprophagy (stool eating), separation anxiety (shown by destructive behaviour when owners are away) or any other unusual behaviour.
