1. Buy a plastic clamshell pool & fill with water and ice. Your dog will have an absolute ball playing and lying in it. Also great idea for dogs who tip over drink bowls.

2. Get an ice vest for your dog from the local petshop or simply wrap a wet towel around him.

3. Fill a Kong toy with chicken stock and freeze. Your dog will love his frozen popsicle.

4. Freeze a water bottle and leave it on your dog’s bed.

5. Ensure your dog has shade. Erect some shade cloth in a cool spot for your dog to lie under.

6. Don’t walk your dog in the heat of the day. Particularly important for brachycephalic breeds, such as pugs.
